If the media is really and truly liberal and in the tank for President Obama, why has Dick Cheney been given an open microphone to broadcast his fraudulent views on torture and national security and his criticism of Obama on CNN, CBS and NBC?

Because, of course, the media isn't liberal at all. Why is it that the only person I've ever seen on a mainstream media outlet who called Cheney what he is, a coward, is Jesse Ventura, who is widely considered a figure of ridicule, from the desk of Larry King, a lightweight infotainment host who no one takes seriously?

Does Anybody Care If Mia Farrow Starves Herself to Death?

Mia Farrow is on a hunger strike to call attention to the suffering of the victims of the Darfur conflict. It is estimated that 450,000 people have died there since 2003. Implicit in Mia Farrow's gesture is her overweening sense of self-importance. She evidently thinks her continued existence is so important to so many people that her threat of extinction will move them more than the documented suffering of the victims of Darfur. The temporary suffering of one over-privileged actress outweighs the suffering of millions.
