Considering Self-Publishing? Read This First

The Dallas Morning News has an excellent story on self-publishing with POD technology. The story's title, "Vanity press, thy name's now print on demand," signals reporter Jerome Weeks' refreshingly skeptical viewpoint. The story is clear-eyed and comprehensive in its coverage of the various points to consider before self-publishing. It does quote the great Satan of POD, PublishAmerica's Willem Meiners, but immediately balances his phony boosterism with cautionary comments from others.
